Now
that Perspectives in Missions is over and our missions trip being right around
the corner I’m more than excited to go to Vancouver. I came to realize so much
through this course that I hadn’t before and now it’s time to apply what we've learned
from the class to a real life situation.
Like I
said before, I am so excited for this mission trip. I have been on a missions
trip to Mexico before and know how life changing they can be. I’m so excited to
see what God has in store for us and those we are going to serve when we get
there. I know that we will work in our
hearts and that we will leave changed and I pray that God will leave a spark in
the hearts of those we are going to serve.
However,
it won’t be all rainbows and butterflies. Leaders and others have been telling
our team since day one that this trip is going to be a very breaking trip for
us. We are going to see things that are going to rip us apart. One way that I
am going to deal with this is first of all prayer for strength for our team as
we witness the brokenness, and then when we are there also to be open with
others in the team about the things that we will see and how they affected us.
But overall I am excited for this trip.
